From Employment to Techpreneurship: Empowering the Future Creators & Digital Economy

Today I had the privilege of briefing Ybhg Dr Md Ali Hindia, the Director of PERKESO Sabah on our upcoming Content Creators & Influencers Workshop, scheduled for 28 June 2026 at SICC, Munukan Hall.

We had a deeply engaging discussion, exploring ways to further collaborate and support PERKESO’s key performance ( KPI ) targets for employment development across Sabah.

I emphasized a critical paradigm shift taking place: moving away from traditional employment toward techpreneurship. As our community grows more affluent and digitally sophisticated, the way we work and create value has changed.

We are already witnessing a clear trend — micro‑SMEs, banks and large corporations alike are shifting toward automation and AI integration, redefining how human capital is invested and utilized.

This evolution means opportunities are no longer limited to“finding a job.”That is exactly why this workshop is designed: to bridge the gap — transforming unemployment into self‑employment, by equipping everyone with the practical skills, knowledge, and mindset to start and grow their own sustainable digital businesses.

We are not just creating jobs — we are building creators, techpreneurs, and future‑ready income generators.
